Kindle Fire - Not Turning On

No matter what you do, you can't get your Kindle to turn on.

The battery is drained or bad

If the battery is more than two years old, was left in the heat, or was plugged into a charger other than the one it came with, the battery may be bad and you may need to replace it. Test to see that the battery isn't just dead. Charge the battery for an hour and then try to turn the Kindle on. If nothing happens, you may need to install a new battery.

The screen is damaged

If everything is in working order, but the Kindle still won't turn on, the problem may be the screen. If there are visible cracks in the screen, it is damaged. You will need to install a new screen.
