FixHub Power Station Overheating
The FixHub Power Station grows hot during use, perhaps unnaturally so.
Overuse
When the power station is putting out a lot of current (power) the battery will grow warm. This is a natural property of batteries. To protect the battery from damage, the Power Station will throttle the power output, which should prevent dangerous levels of heat.
- If the ambient temperature is high, the output may throttle sooner under heavy loads.
- If the Power Station feels warm to the touch, disconnect any loads and let the station rest for some time so that it can cool down. A half-hour to an hour may be needed.
- You may need to allow the unit to rest after charging, as charging also creates heat, which may affect the ability of the station to deliver power.
- If the Power Station gets excessively hot to touch, or continues to overheat even when not being used excessively, contact support for assistance.
