Failed Order Charge
When a purchase is attempted, the bank automatically takes out the funds and places a hold on them. Two things can happen: either the money is accepted and the transaction is completed, or the money is rejected due to problems with verification.
If the money is accepted, then it is turned into a single charge. If the money is rejected, then it's still being held by the bank and it does not get charged. After a few days--often one business day--the bank realizes that the money was not accepted, takes the hold off of the amount, and puts it back onto your payment method.

It's also not uncommon for this type of behavior to occur earlier in the checkout process when using accelerated checkout methods such as PayPal Express, Shop Pay or Apple Pay. This is because they typically already have payment information on file that is designed to abbreviate the order process for you by prefilling details and communicating with your bank in advance.
That said, you needn't worry as successful orders placed at IFIXIT.com only get charged once. Though, if you are still having concerns, then we recommend contacting your bank directly.
